Metal strike plate to be placed in the door frame as opposed to the lock. This model does not have an internal magnet and in fact must be used in combination with the mechanical locks with central latch normally used in reversible doors.

The metal plate with a matte chrome finish is equipped with a plastic well to hide the milled wood in the door jamb. This piece can be removed using the plate alone.
